A frequent lecturer in leading North American and British universities (Antioch, Brandeis, Brown, Harvard, McGill, NYU, Stanford, Tufts, Yale; LSE, Oxford Cenre for Hebrew & Jewish Studies, University College London, King's College); a recipient of prizes of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and in the USA of the National Endowments for the Humanities, and the Fulbright and Rockefeller foundations.
