Structural Biology focuses on unravelling the structure-function relationships of proteins and molecular complexes to provide comprehensive information leading to better understanding of cellular processes. In conjunction with bioinformatics, structural biology represents a key element in the process of novel drug design and development. Housing facilities that allow for structural studies spanning a wide spectrum of resolutions - from whole cells to atoms - the NIBN aims to become a recognized structural biology centre in Israel and abroad.
