Community and population ecology of desert animals (small mammals, lizards); Biogeography of arid zones; Taxonomy of small mammals (Rodentia, Insectivora) and lizarsd (Agamidae); Conservation ecology, protection of rare species.

(a) The monitoring program for the Ramon Park Nature Reserve in the frames of Israel National Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network;
(b) Field testing of the theoretically predicted mechanisms of habitat selection using rodents in the Makhtesh Ramon;

(d) The influence of human settlement on the biodiversity – Mizpe Ramon as a model
