BGU Researchers receive Career Integration Grants

Ten researchers from BGU have been awarded prestigious Marie Curie Career Integration Grants (CIG) from the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) of the European Community. Each grant totals 100,000 over a period of 4 years.

The motivation behind the program is to assist new researchers establish themselves in one of the countries participating in its FP7 program.  The EU is particularly interested in inducing leading young scientists to return to those countries from post-docs outside of them. As might be expected the Integration Grant competition is extremely intense and grants are made only to those who show the most promise for making meaningful contributions to the European Research Arena in the years ahead.

While the success rate of Career Integration Grants throughout Europe is 29% at BGU it is 50% indicating that BGU is really making an effort to recruit outstanding your scientists and scholars.
