In the Faculty of Health Sciences

The Medical School for International Health, in collaboration with Columbia University Medical Center

This 4-year program offers an MD degree to students who completed at least a bachelor's degree at a non-Israeli institution. The MSIH is now in its 13th year, and the class of 2014 which swore the Hippocratic Oath in October 2010 was the largest-ever beginning class (45 first-year students), and nearly 25% hold graduate degrees. Reflecting its name of "international health", 4th-year students experience an eight-week global health, structured clinical clerkship in an under-served population which might include sites in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Peru, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Israel, and the United States.

The Honors MBA program

In addition to on-site faculty, this program invites lecturers from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Columbia University Business School, Cornell University, Rollins College in Florida, the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China, the R.H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, and a Clinical Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Fox School of Business, Temple University.

In the Blaustein Institute for Desert Research

The Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies

A lecturer from the BIDR and one from a Palestinian Authority institution recently won a MidEast Regional Cooperation USAID grant of $650,000 for a cooperative water purification project, and senior UNESCO and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification representatives recently participated in a conference here, attended by members of 63 countries from all parts of the world.
