Situated in the heights of the city, the University campus, based on the successful Beer-Sheva model, opened its doors in 2002. Its objective – to become a center for education, knowledge, and culture and a catalyst for development of the city of Eilat.

Academic activities on the Eilat Campus parallel those of the Beer-Sheva campus (B.A., M.A. & M.Sc. studies), including a variety of scholastic frameworks: pre-academic ‘preparation’ [‘mechinah’] and preparation for matriculation exams, diploma studies, and vocational training in hotel management and tourism. There are also extracurricular courses for the general public, residents of Eilat and the Arava region.

At the Eilat Campus we work to combine the unique atmosphere of Eilat and assimilate it with a high-quality, well-groomed academic campus to create a unique scholastic environment and an open, special relationship between the campus staff, students, and the city’s residents.

Since commencing academic activity, the number of students has grown, and there are presently more than 800 students studying for various academic degrees while enjoying the high academic standards of a research university. This includes a varied curriculum, small classes, personal and supportive relations with the lecturers, advanced campus services, an abundance of employment opportunities, and a lively social life.

While most students in Israel are forced to work while studying in order to finance their education, the undergraduate students at the Eilat Campus enjoy a unique benefit – a full three-year scholarship that allows them to study without financial distractions. The first 300 students to enroll (and be accepted) for studies this coming school year will receive a scholarship for the full three years of their B.A. studies.
