Production Management (PM) major enables acquisition of tools necessary to analyze and manage operation of production and service systems, manage quality and reliability in production and service processes, plan and evaluate operational and computerized organizational solutions, as well as control and manage projects.
Studying without selecting a specific major is also optional.
Over a period of 8 semesters, the IEM undergraduate program offers basic courses in science, engineering, quantitative analysis (like statistics and operations research), computer, economics and behavioral sciences. In more advanced years, unique mandatory and elective courses, specific for each major, are offered.
The department encourages excelling students to join one of two tracks:
1. Accelerated B.Sc. and M.Sc. – enabling completion of two degrees, BSc and MSc, within 10 semesters.
2. Combined IEM and Mathematics degrees – enabling completion of two BSc degrees, in IEM as well as in Mathematics, within 8 semesters. This program requires 42 additional credit points (on top of those required for the IEM degree).
